Anoop Rajappan, PhD, spearheaded the integration of “bits” of memory and computational capabilities into textiles with only air as the operational media—for the purpose of developing smart wearables. The article [PDF], published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), was co-authored by many members of the PI Lab, including Barclay Jumet as the second author.
