Te Faye Yap and Barclay Jumet were both awarded a COVID-19 Resiliency award during the 2021 AMPT Symposium. Yap published research on the inactivation and relevant heat transfer phenomena of SARS-CoV-2; Jumet and fellow Rice University students designed a low-cost partition to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in elementary schools. The team then fabricated and donated dozens of these partitions to Passmore Elementary School (Alvin, TX).
